The Logic of Faith and the Price of Unbelief

Current lunchtime series

We live in a culture where, increasingly, people find the claims of Jesus scandalous. When we read the Gospels, we discover that this kind of response is nothing new. Jesus said: 'blessed are those who are not offended by me'. People of his day found Jesus scandalous.

In response to unpopularity Jesus would not be silenced. Furthermore, he supplied irrefutable evidence that his claims were true, and that the 'scandal' remained entirely in the failure of his opponents to respond rightly to him. This series in Matthew 11 - 13 could not be more relevant to the 21st century City!
